Flash Video on the iPhone

Many of us have been waiting for the day when we can develop and view Flash products on Apple's mobile platforms. Apple computers are dominate in the design and marketing industry, so the pairing would seem natural, but as we all know the resistance has been strong. A small hurdle was recently crossed as Apple eased it's restrictions on the kinds of applications that could be included in it's App store. It seems now Skyfire has developed a system enabling users to view Flash video (.flv) through a system of translating it to a format readable by the iPhone/iPad. This system falls short of enabling users to play Flash games or other types of Flash web content, but it certainly is a good step for bringing Flash to other mobile platforms.
